My new pattern for felted men’s slippers is online now. I named them “HüttenGaudi“ because the slippers are very comfortable and light. The men´s slippers are knitted in one and sewn when finished at the top. A special design element is garter stitch on the heel and the outsole. They are robuster after felting than instep.
Size: Men´s Size foot length: Medium 10¼ – 10½“ (26 -27 cm), Large 10¾ – 11“ (27 -28cm). To fit men´s shoe sizes : Europe 42-43, 44-45; United Kingdom: 7½ – 8, 9½ – 10½; USA & Kanada: 8½ – 9, 10½ – 11½.
Yarn weight: Bulky / 12 ply , 260 – 280 yards (238 – 256 m) – incl. 20-22 yards in contrast color for edging stripe.
Yarn suggested: Ístex Álafoss Lopi – 3 skeins.
Needle size: US 10½ – 6.5 mm.

I felted my latest paar of HüttenGaudi using Garnstudio Drops Andes, colorway Jeans Blue. The yarn is a chunky blend of alpaca and wool and felts very well! 3 skeins needed for this project for size M. Yarn remainders 40 g/ ca. 38 m (ca 41 yards). I used a elastic thread along the slippers heel for a nice fit.

Another pair using organic yarn. I felted in a front loader twice, then with shoe lasts of polystyrene for felting.
